Garage.Amsterdam
I run a Link G4x HC92x plug in ECU in my Honda Civic. Sometimes randomly the ECU throws a fault but no code. The fault is that the RPM signal goes to 0 rpm. I already replaced the distributor which houses the crank position sensor and the complete wiring loom. Anyone familiar with problem? Know what it could be and or know a solution
Adamw
RPM dropping to zero would usually indicate a trigger error. You will see the trigger error counter increment at the same time if that is the case. Does it happen only randomly or under some more specific condition such as high load or high rpm?
Garage.Amsterdam
It happens randomly so when it idles and when I drive. Never drove the car under high load or rpm ever since this problem occurred
Adamw
Can you do a few trigger scope captures then, do one at idle, one at say 2000RPM and another at 3000RPM, attach those and a copy of your tune.
Joeyschrama
For anyone having the same issue and reading this topic: We fixed the issue by raising the trigger filters. The original distributor was defective, and the replacement appeared to have a noisy signal.
