ryzxne
Hi all, Have a r34 gt with a link G4 PNP. Just hooked the ecu up today and I'm trying to access the ecu via pclink G4 but it just says searching. I've verified that com port is the same, there's no errors in device manager and the green light on the board is on. Still can't connect to the ecu though. Any thoughts? ryzxne
As seen in other posts, I bypassed the ecu connections by attaching it to the diode directly and it's still not receiving any signal to pclink.
Adamw
Nothing plugged into the CAN1/RS232 socket?
ryzxne
Nope nothings plugged into the can port. Just the PCB to USB cable on the top board of the ecu and that's it I'm almost certain that the USB chip on the board could be faulty as apparently that was a common issue on the G4 ECU's (from what I've read in the forum's) if that's the case would it cost me anything to get that repaired? Adamw
The USB chip in early G4 Atoms from memory were sensitive to static discharge but I dont think that applied to G4's in general. It can certainly be inspected and repaired but there will likely be a cost involved. The G4 had a 1 year warranty so it is well beyond that now. Email [email protected] for a service request form if you wish to have it inspected.
