Honda K24 initial trigger setup

So I was told to here to use the K24 trigger format. Only thing I found was K24VTC so I used that. I now have spark but engine does not fire . Checked compression and thats good. Squirted some fuel in to make sure fuel was not the issue. Still not even a pop. So I have to assume the spark timing is a country mile off. This is a single lobe cam with no Intake cam phazer. And triggers are stock crank and stock exhaust cam. Any ideas why I'm having this issue. Thanks

Figured it out by looking at newest version of software and saw a difference in the trigger offset. Newer is zero and the older had 277 degrees baked in. Changed to zero and it started. I assumed because of the 12 tooth +1 that it required that 277 offset. Thanks . I'm sure I'll have more questions when I upgrade to a DBW capable ECU.
