JayL
I've a set of Subaru V7 adjustable cam wheels which I want to use on my V5/6 motor. Physically they fit however, Subaru V5/6 motors have a different cam wheel to V7 (non avcs). Is it possible to use a V7 cam wheel on a V5/6 motor/sensor setup? Link G4 Plug in for Subaru 99/00 V5/6 STi.
Simon
No you will need to swap the crank wheel over as well to give a matching set of V7 wheels.
JayL
Thanks. Any idea if the sensors are the same between models?
Simon
Both are both reluctor type sensors. You will need to check the sensor clearance. (gap between the sensor end and the wheel)
JayL
Will do. Thanks.
Stevieturbo
The sensors are the same, and you can easily fit the later model crankwheel to yuou older engine.
