Cars doing some strange things, is it something that can be fixed.

also when driving then coming to sudden stop car wants to stall unless I brap the throttle.

Also slight throttle the car hesitates coming into boost

Any help please

Sorry for the delay, I've only just had a chance to look through all your files again.

Im not sure how to say it nicely, but the tune is really a dog's breakfast.  It's hard to believe that a tuner would send a car out like this?  Have you made any changes after tuning?  Did it ever drive well after tuning?

The vast majority of your stalling and hesitation issues are related to fuel tuning and idle control tuning.  But there is so much wrong with the fundamentals of those two that it will really need to retuned from scratch after those fundamentals are fixed.  Some of the main things to mention:

  • Deadtimes are so wrong the injectors arent even opening at low manifold pressures.
  • Fuel pressure and oil pressure sensor calibrations are wrong.
  • Differential pressure isn't controlling well even if I factor in the incorrect fuel press calibration.
  • Oil press is exaggerated.  Assuming you have a normal 100psi oil press sensor then if I calculate pressure based on the voltage received then you actually only have about 38psi oil press at redline so that doesnt seem too good.
  • Lambda is nowhere near target, and not just a little off, its more like +/-30% off most of the time.  This is due to a large range of factors, but mostly those mentioned above and below.
  • Closed loop lambda is allowed to make up to 20% corrections but its gain is very low so the slow response is really making things worse rather than helping.  Stoich mode should only be used when catalytic convertor dither action is needed, in all other cases you should use automode, and set some appropriate trim limits.
  • Accel fuel is zero above 120kpa, this is some of the cause of the lean hesitation coming into boost.
  • Most of the idle control issues:  no speed lockout assigned - closed loop will be forcing the throttle closed during overrun causing stalling, proportional gain about 3-6X higher than normal, base position about 1% lower than required, 100RPM idle deadband (normal 30-40), 0.3% deadband in E-throttle (normal 0-0.1).
