Stefan1436215452
Hello, I've been looking at Link & Vipec ECUs and they appear to be identical in there hardware specifications. It appears that the only difference is the firmware and software application. The manuals are pretty much the same too. Whats to stop someone from flashing the link storm or extreme with the vipec i44 & i88 firmware to unlock the features? Regards, Stefan
Simon
Each ECU is coded to what type it is, the firmware is identical between the two. The Vi-pec options do have the addition of peak and hold injection drives (different hardware)
Stefan1436215452
Thanks Simon. Yes the peak and hold is a hardware difference, I forgot about that. It seems to be better to get a vipec over the link. The link, even when fully upgraded will be more expensive and not as good as the vipec. HPA course will be good for either ECU. Thanks for the quick reply, you've made it a little easier for me to decide which one to get.
