ken watanabe
I’m a new link G4 plug-in user. My car is evo8 GPN. The question is about on street not in rally fields. 1.Throttle is cracked opened to 10TP and cyclic idle low is 12%, high is 16%, cyclic idle limit is 1500. When idling, engine is stable around 1500 rpm, it’s because cyclic idle limit is 1500. So what is cyclic idle low and high is for? TP will never exceed 12% or 16% when idle of Couse. 2.Maybe caused by wrong idle setting above, it’s quite hard to drive normally on the street because can’t open throttle all the time on street. In GPN mode, is it like this? Thank you in advance.
Simon
The reason for the low and high limits are to provide a progressive removal of the cyclic RPM limit. So a throttle opening below 12% in this case will limit RPM to 1500 once above 12% it will progressively allow more RPM un till above 16% when it will allow RPM right up to main RPM limit. Simon
You could set the Low to the same as your throttle position at idle so then it starts to remove the cyclic limit the moment you touch the throttle. You don't want the cut to be removed all at once as this makes for a very hard to drive car.
