maxiav Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 On the G1, when I set the key in the on position, it takes about 3 seconds for the fuel pump to kick in. Question is, when it kicks in it pressurize the fuel lines, BUT, does it ALSO spray a bit of fuel into the combustion chamber? Also, a friend of mine has the same G1 and his fuel pump will start immediately at key ON… Anything I can do to make mine do the same? Thanks! Quote
ashesman Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 The fuel pump should come on for three seconds at key on then stop! It will start again once the engine starts rotating... Sounds to me like it is wired with the correct polarity. If so it would mean the pump is not running when the engine is rotating! There is a pre-crank prime that will inject fuel at key on before starting...
