Guest |185|
Ok Been having a bit of what I thought was a misfire at 2500-3000, connected up the laptop and took the car for a drive, noticed when the car was misfiring the dwell time would shoot up, in one case to 19, in another to 39, reading the help file is this actually causing pre-ignition or damaging the coil? As the value seems to come up whenever it misses in the range. Most other times im getting readings around the two range. No other errors coming up. I apologise for the newbieness of the question, but only really use the software to monitor the car.
bsh
It may be caused by trigger errors. Open the triggers which is located at the bottom in the software screen. Check when the misfire appeares, if the trigger error counter counts up, then you are having trigger issues. Are you using reluctor sensor? If you do, try to increase/decrease at the rpm you are having trouble with. You can also try with another filter level. Also confirm that you have not switched the + and -.
