JamieH Posted November 2, 2018 Report Share Posted November 2, 2018 I am setting up a G4+ xtreme evo 9 plug in, in a 3 plug evo 8 fq300 for a friend. I have sensors calibrated and reading correctly and output test done and working ok. While cranking I lose connection with the ecu on pc link and it wont fire. Ecu power hold is on as well as engine kill. I suspect this is my problem. Is this a wiring issue and where is the best place to start checking. Side note there is a turbo timer fitted unsure if this could cause issues. Edit: also the ac fan is on constantly and i can’t seem to figure out why. Adamw Posted November 2, 2018 Report Share Posted November 2, 2018 If ECU hold power is on that would suggest there is no ignition switch signal on DI6. Can you look at the DI6 runtime and tell us if that says active with the key on? For the fan, I suspect your car may have the extra "high speed fan" on ign 7. Try setting ign 7 to Engine fan 2, set polarity to high and make sure fan 2 temp settings are something suitable. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Digital Input 6- Ac request: active (with igniton on.) ign 7 is off. in Ecu settings, DI1 is ignition switch and DI6 is ac request, is this part of my issue? JamieH Posted November 3, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2018 I was sure I was using an evo9 map! Thank you for spotting that, and sorry for wasting your time with that.. With the fan on, i put Ig7 to fan 2, no change. I did just notice, if i turn on ac, the inner fan (engine bay side fan) turns on and the outer fan (bumper side) turns off. JamieH Posted November 5, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 5, 2018 Thank you, swapping polarity of fan 3 sorted that issue. I'm having another issue intermittently. It happened first when I had first installed the ECU, and has come back now after leaving the car sit for 2 days. I am getting fault codes for high voltage in most of my analog inputs. If I change fault levels to 0V and 5V, ECT and IAT are giving me a false low reading of -7 degrees, and MAP is giving a reading of 140kPa. If i measure the voltage on the 0-5V signal wire for IAT i am getting 7V. With the standard ECU plugged back in I got 4.6V as expected. The first time this happened, when i plugged back in the link ECU after checking the voltage readings with the standard ECU, everything went back to normal. I suspected possibly having a charger on the battery might have upset something. This time however the battery has not been on a charger and battery voltage is 12.06V at this moment. Plugging out the Link ECU tonight and plugging it back in has made no difference. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
