Shadowmixer
Hi, I think I am in trouble, I just purchased an 2004 EVO from Michigan , the car just installed Link G4+, I still have the box with me. However, now I got stocked , because according the CA smog regulation, I will need the OEM ECU in the car, but I don't have it. I don't know if there is a way to simulate Link G4+ , so when they do the OBD2 scan or monitoring, they will still think the car has the stock ECU. Please help me , thanks

Adamw
It is actually illegal for any ECU to "fudge" the OBD2 readiness monitors. You may be able to temporarily fit a stock ecu (can be reflashed to make it run well enough to drive) at inspection time. I dont know much about the tests they perform in CA or the legalities however so you will have to research that yourself.
