Speed problem on Dashboard AIM MXL

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have ECU LINK plug in installed on my Subaru v5-v6.

I'm trying to replace the dashboard original by one  dashboard AIM MXL to be connected by CAN .

As soon as I unplug my dashboard original, info that comes from speed gearbox and goes into the computer no longer works. I watched as calibration information in theECU Link.

I noticed that the tab Pull up resistor is OFF.

If I put in the ON position do you think it will work? Do you have an idea to help me?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards

Ludovic

Hi Ludovic,

You can try putting the pullup on, but I think it is unlikely to help.

Some cars have the signal from the speed sensor going to the dash, where it is then modified and and sent out to the ECU. This is possibly the case with your car.

This is not a major problem though. You can just take the speed signal and feed it into the EC, on the pin where the dash used to feed the signal in. You may need to change your DI calibration settings.

Cheers,

Scott
