Anthony Parle
I am trying to fit a Link Extreme G4 in to a Subaru SVX which has a 3.3l engine, as far as I can find there is no MAP in the system it currently has a Air Flow Sensor, do I also need to add a MAP sensor. The aim is to be able to upgrade the ECU on the car to a more modern one and use wide band sensors to improve the performance of the car over all. Simon
You will need a map sensor, It can use the AFM signal but the result would be much nice using a map sensor.
Anthony Parle
Hi Simon, The engine is 3.3l 6 cylinder how do I determine what size MAP sensor I need, aim to run the engine at around 10,000rpm NA. Tony
Simon
As you are not using boost you only need to be able to measure to atmosphere so a 1 bar sensors is fine. However the smallest we do is a 2.5bar.
Anthony Parle
As I understand it if I go to individual throttles or large cams the MAP sensor won't work correctly so that leaves me to use the TPS on the fuel table as there s no ability to use a MAF is that correct or has things changed? Fredrik Pettersson
You can use maf and map  maf for idle/Cruise and map for performance ,  dual fuel/ign tables and you are good
Stevieturbo
But really, there is no real good reason to want to use a MAF. Even more so with individual throttles.
