Ian1436215387
Has anyone ever run a Splitfire SR20DET rwd coil pack set (comes with a little control box) with the Xtreme? any issues worth mentioning? Will be using the LINK igniter's (2x dual) rather than the SR20 unit
Simon
Should be no problems at all. As by my understanding they are a direct replacement for the stock coils.
Paul1436215384
How does one hook the Link ignitor to the stock SR20DET coil? My factory diagram shows the factory ignitor switching the + on the coil, yet the Link ignitor diagram shows it must be connected to VE-? Will it make a difference if + or - is triggered on the coil? Simon
Coil normally has a +12 feed and we then ground the other side of it. What you should have is a common supply across all 4 coils. The Nissan ones will also have a common ground and then the third terminal will be connected to our or the factory igniter.
martin battye
the splitfire packs ignitor box is best run from the nissan ignitor. then you can retain indiv cyl trim for ign.
