  1. @Adamw Much appreciated. Was able to resolve the excessive revs turning the wheel at idle as well as the AC. The Link dealer I bought the ECU from also does tuning and I had them tune the car fresh off the build. The setup wasn't as comprehensive as i'd hoped for though.

Can you share some or maybe just the most odd thing you notice so I can see about sorting it?

    Thanks again for the help.

  2. I'm have some idle issues and need helping figuring them out. Not sure if they're related.

    • At idle, turning the steering wheeling causes an unusually high increase in revs.
    • Turning the AC on causes a high increase revs and the AC generally doesn't work.

I installed a new IAC to rule that out and don't seem to have vacuum leaks. Map attached for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. @Adamw Nice, thanks.

I read about the jumper in the manual and still closed up the case before taking a look at it. I unplugged the stock MAP initially to make sure I wasn’t getting my signal from there.

Out of paranoia could you confirm wether or not the jumper is set to the onboard sensor out the box?

    cheers

  4. @Adamw  I hit capture before starting the crank on that one. Sorry about that. Did another and definitely hit capture while cranking this time. Log attached along with a screenshot of the post capture screen. The log still doesn't seem to show much but i'm hoping you could make something of it.

Another worthwhile point is that I installed a brand new crank position sensor today to be on the safe side and rule that out. The old sensor had been though a timing belt snap and could have been damaged because of where it's mounted. I'm experiencing the same issue with the new sensor.

Verifying timing with a timing light also doesn't work because there's no spark while cranking. Interestingly enough, even though some level of spark is occurring during the ignition test, the timing light doesn't flash while connected during the ignition test.

  5. Hello,

I'm attempting first startup and having an issue where although the ignition test is successful, spark seems to be cut while cranking (tested with a grounded spark plug and one of the ignition probes). I'm using the Mitsubishi EVO 7 - 9 trigger mode and haven't modified anything under trigger configurations. While cranking there's a signal on trigger sensor 2 but not 1 and the engine speed data stays at 0. I'm not sure if that's normal with the EVO 7 - 9 trigger mode.

I'm attaching the log from a startup attempt along with the map and would appreciate any insight. Many thanks.

  6. Hello,

I'm installing an AEM IAT sensor via the XS expansion loom. Doing this for the first time I want to make sure my assumptions are sound.

I need to wire in ground and a 5V signal to the sensor. Would it be good practice to run the sensor ground (green) and Temp 4 (orange) wires from the loom to the sensor?

    Many thanks for any feedback.

    Cheers
