  1. Thank you that really makes sense now. Thats gonna add a layer of insane time saving on the dyno. I thought only ve based fuel tables could make that change. This is great information. I think the issue i've got is the stock oem injectors for the rx7 dont have deadtime data from factory so i've left these as 0. However, the secondaries are asnu 1500cc so i've got all the data for that populated. I'm just happy that my afr readings are accurate and i can experiment more with the tune without changing the main fuel table. Thank you.
  2. Hi Thanks for the insight. So say if ive tuned to a certain target lets say 11afr at 12psi. If i change the target table to make it richer......then its automatically adds in more fuel and vice versa less fuel? so effectively my afr is reading accurate?
  3. Gentlemen, I feel like there is a 0.5afr discrepancy with my Zeitronix ZT3 wideband with the link g4+ ecu. This is how its been setup/calibrated in the ecu. Now i've tuned my afr target table and everything was fine. However, as a test i changed the AFR target table from 13.5afr in the idle areas to 13.0 afrs and that immediately impacted and changed my real time afr readings reading 0.5afr richer without me making any changes to the main fuel table! This is obviously a bit concerning for me because whatever changes made in the target table should surely not change the afr readings? I'm not running closed loop or VE either. What am i missing here? Is my wideband faulty?
  4. Deffo, i was doing that but the plugs got dead and started getting breakup even when i disconnected the meth injection. I wasnt sure what ignition break up looked like tbh as this is the first time i've experienced it tuning my rx7/13b engine. However, in my case as you can see it was def stupid rich when i got breakup. Never leaned out on the misfire. Spoke to my engine builder and he was like your ignition coils are gone. Thus me putting in new plugs and testing again. All good now!
  5. There is no injector data for oem 850cc injectors so thats been left blank as even link dont have that data. Figured it out the reason for the richness were fouled plugs causing ignition break up top end causing afrs to go mega rich. New plugs and tested the ignition system and everything is now back to normal! Thanks for looking into this. Yes running water/meth 50/50.
  6. Gentlemen, Quick question as trying to understand if higher heat will cause the AFR's to get stupid rich or if there is a choke point in my current setup which is not able to flow the hot air out the exhaust side? I am trying to tune my rx7 to 20psi and hopefully 25psi if i can figure out some issues im having with the 20psi pulls. At 5krpm my afr's seem to be on point but from 6k - 7k rpm they seem to get mega rich. I have removed fuel in the main fuel table using the quick fuel trim to bring this back in line with my target. However, it still reads rich even after the corrections have been made and saved. The question now becomes do i risk removing even more fuel? or is there another factor like AIT's being too hot or the turbo not being able to flow enough from the hotside due to a 3" downpipe. In summary, even after removing 10% fuel the afr's seem to remain where they are which is strange. Any insight appreciated.
  7. I made the above changes and the primary injectors no longer hit 100% duty cycle. However, i've run into another issue. Everytime the secondaries come online based on the rpm the primaries seem to be make the afrs too rich and then too lean for a short duration before both primaries and secondaries hit equilibrium.
  8. Good Afternoon Gentlemen, I was trying to find haltech data to setup an optimise my ign coils to get the max spark energy vs keeping it reliable. Their Data says 4.5ms dwell time and no guidance in terms of setting this up in the ECU. I came across this link - https://support.haltech.com/portal/en/kb/articles/ign-1a-ignition-coils Usually i've been running it between 4-4.5ms at 14v....but haltech data suggests to increase the dwell time against boost pressure. Is anyone running it this way in the link ecu with good reliability from the coils? I mean is it safe to run 8ms dwell time at 1bar of boost? I've noticed fuel tech ign coils are also setup a similar way in their ecu. HT-020114_IS (2).pdf
  9. I was trying to right click directly on this table to change the load axis. I'll try this and report back.
  10. Wont allow me to change the load to rpm on the secondary injection staging table. I'll play around with it bring the secondaries in earlier. Thank you for pointing out the above. Thats seems extremely useful the keep the fd alive at higher speeds.
  11. Its made an improvement but for some reason a wot shift does keep maxxing out the primary dc momentarily until the secondaries come online and then once it reaches equilibrium it's all under control. Does the link g4+ have another fuel table to which I can add additional fuel over a certain driven wheel speed at all? for eg additional 3% fuel over 200kph over the main fuel table
  12. better than before but still seems to be dumping a lot of fuel between gear changes maxing out primary dc. Perhaps the secondaries need to come in a bit earlier/higher initial percentage? or accel clamp reduced even further? Also as i stab to WOT there always seems to be this immediate lean spike followed by a lot of richness in the afrs before reaching equilibrium. Im guessing this linked to the accel clamp table?
  13. The drive feels much smoother now. I have made some changes to the accel clamp to try to reduce the rich spike between gear changes from 4th to 5th but there still seems to be a lot richness there which is driving the primaries to almost 100%dc. Is this related to the accel fuel or accel time? I've tried to reduce the accel clamp load from 30 to 25 but that made no real difference.
  14. I cant seem to attached the log file as its bigger than 4.31mb Any way i can cut the log file?
  15. I think the issue is likely something i've missed with the injector staging data in regards to a smooth transition from primaries to secondaries coming online. Once they reach equilibrium at 12psi both primary and secondary injectors are below 60%dc. I suspect the issue has to be with the staging and not the size of the primary injectors.
  16. 850cc Primary injectors. These are the oem one's. 1500cc ASNU secondary injectors. Thank you for helping with this.
  17. Good Afternoon Gentlemen, I am having issues in finessing my afr's to stay with their target when there is a WOT gear change. See below the example Here the afrs, stay in line with the target but once if shift up from 4th WOT to 5th WOT you can see the momentary lean out before everything reaches equilibrium and afrs fall back in line with their targets. How do i fix this? Why is it happening? Also i notice my primary duty cycle hits 100% here before dropping back down. Any help with this also appreciated. I have attached my log file for this run. Kind Regads, Pat
  18. Hi Adam, Thank you, that is very helpful. I will do a more testing today to get the primary and secondaries to transition in a more linear fashion. I'm at 80% accel fuel and 40 cycles so that explains the primary injector behavior. Many Thanks, Pat
  19. Good Evening Gentlemen, I have noticed a strange trend when going full throttle. My Primary and Secondary injectors eventually become seemless with similar pulse widths and similar injector duty cycles. However, when going full throttle the primary injector pulsewidth and duty cycle doesnt immediately fall in line with the secondaries. Any ideas how this can be finessed further for a seemless transition between the primary and secondary injectors?
  20. Thank you, I suspected as much. The issue im having is i haven't got any spare an or analogue inputs. I currently have a boost trigger for high/low boost connected to a digital input on the expansion loom. I'm not using the RX7 OMP control....is it possible to configure that analogue input for the boost control switch instead?
  21. Evening Gentlemen, Is it possible to add a rotary style 12 position trim pot on the digital input of a Link G4+ expansion loom? I currently have it set to a simpler high and low boost trigger switch but was looking to add a bit more control over my boost range like from low boost of 10psi all the way up to 25 psi. Kind Regards, Pat
  22. Thank you, this is very helpful.
