  1. I looked at the log again. a bit after the 0:08 mark, idle position is still at 30%, and RPM is already dropping. start up decay doesn't start until 0:12. i found some old logs at the end of the log, it's idling at 10% https://www.dropbox.com/s/hsc4waqreo6c3m3/PC Datalog - 2021-03-21 12%3B42%3B19 pm static run 2.llgx?dl=0 some street driving, also at 10% https://www.dropbox.com/s/k5tv00f4z73ypuu/PC Datalog - 2021-04-24 5%3B18%3B50 pm.llgx?dl=0 this is a cold start log https://www.dropbox.com/s/wf9n1txiq07w810/PC Datalog - 2021-05-23 4%3B19%3B42 pm.llgx?dl=0 there's no hardware change on the car recently. only thing I did was the boost control valve, and a clutch fan change (a bit of coolant lost from upper radiator hose disconnect, but refilled after)
  2. And why is idle low when it’s in “start up decay” and recovers when it’s in idle mode? It definitely didn’t have this problem before
  3. i'll try to dig up some old logs. I remember i set the idle base position at 10% because that's what in the parameter list when I observed it.
  4. Here's a log of the start up. ECT was over 90C. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8vr9amu85376p9i/PC Datalog - 2021-06-13 5%3B10%3B10 pm low idle after start up hot.llgx?dl=0 it starts up and idle drops to 600-700 when "start up decay" starts. never noticed this problem before maybe it has to do with the AC low idle slow recovery issue
  5. Closed loop. RB26 oem actuator. Dashpot is 0. didn’t notice this issue until today also start up when hot also starts at very low rpm for some reason. Idle position is stuck low. I’ll attach a log later here’s the tune file https://www.dropbox.com/s/2guzof23h6uspyo/13 - Ignition table update.pclx?dl=0
  6. when the AC is on, and during throttle off, such as coming to a stop. Idle drops to 600-700 RPM then climbs back up. It never stalled. my idle target is 950 RPM. it's perfect with NO AC. I set AC Idle up at 100RPM and AC Offset table to 10 Integral gain is 2.5
  7. Much better! I at 0.02 very small oscillation, at 0.01 it's almost perfect, reaching target a bit slow I observed the Wastegate DC % and set the table close to what it needs to be. at target it needs 30%, my table is 25%. is this the proper way to set it? Log with I= 0.02 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ny0qsm54uaq1imy/PC Datalog - 2021-06-13 2%3B48%3B00 pm I-0.02.llgx?dl=0 Log with I = 0.01 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ygh7iu2tigtbhxv/PC Datalog - 2021-06-13 2%3B59%3B21 pm I-0.01.llgx?dl=0
  8. here's the tune file - https://www.dropbox.com/s/2guzof23h6uspyo/13 - Ignition table update.pclx?dl=0 looks like it oscillate a lot in Stage 2, but stable when it goes to Stage 3
  9. Just got a chance to test drive the car after installing Link boost control. i can't seem to figure out how to get the PID setting right. it will reach target but comes back down and oscillate wildly... even with I at 0.01 here's a log for 2nd and 3rd gear https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvkmlwcpkw1o0h4/PC Datalog - 2021-06-12 4%3B18%3B56 pm wot.llgx?dl=0
  10. I occasionally take my car to the mountain roads in the 2k-3k meter elevation. should I change the lambda target table to MGP vs RPM instead? to better compensate for elevation change? currently the fuel table is set up as TPS vs RPM, and lambda target table is MAP vs RPM Or is there any other recommended way of compensating elevation change ?
  11. lol... thanks Adam. i had no idea how this got into the settings in the first place. not a good idea to mess with tuning when drinking.
  12. I made some minor adjustment to ECT ignition trim and cold start parameters, and the car would shut off as soon as "start up decay" starts. Fuel is completely off as soon as it starts, and a split second later it resumes but at that point it's already dead. i'm reverting back to a last known good file it's all good. i'm just wondering what caused this "immediate shut off of fuel" ? here's a log file https://www.dropbox.com/s/p0ek81q9xgb9peu/PC Datalog - 2021-05-30 2%3B58%3B03 pm Dies when starts idle decay.llgx?dl=0
  13. https://imgur.com/gallery/J7T9vdh the car battery died for a few days also the laptop battery. I charged it up today and connected laptop and open PCLink and got this All red data all over the place. then logging shows “no data” for all of them. I had to add all the parameters again in settings to get it back then in the logs all the scaling are way off nothing had changed when this happened. The only thing was the dead battery.
  14. @Adamw what's the best practice for the CLL table axis? once I get the fuel sorted , should I keep it TP% vs RPM or MAP vs RPM ?
  15. but LTT table is only 11 x 16 resolution while fuel table is 20x22 just match the most used cell range?
  16. if my VE table is TP% vs RPM, but the CLL / AFR Target table are MAP vs RPM, in order to match them. should the CLL table also base off of TP vs RPM?
  17. I just switched my desktop to the M1 chip Mac, i do most of the map changes on the desktop. I use Parallels on Mac to run Windows, in order to run PCLink. I just found out - x86 x64 Windows emulation are not supported on M1 based Macs in Parallels. However there's a ARM based Windows 10 that will run in M1 Macs. It supports x86 windows apps but no x64. I installed PCLink in the ARM based Windows 10 just fine, however at the last step of the installation, i got this pop up "You have to run the 64-bit version of DPInst.exe on this machine" I closed the window and PCLink started just fine. Loaded some maps and logs fine with no issues. I wonder what this DPInst.exe file does? If it's just a driver problem then it's not a big deal. i don't use this desktop to connect to the ECU anyways.
  18. What's an acceptable knock level for RB26 with factory knock sensors? log shows anywhere between 50-100 during cruising, and up to 250 in full boost (cyl 2 & 5 are usually 30-40% higher numbers) I have it set to 7Khz narrow band , gain channel 5 window start 10deg after ign Window length 60 deg
  19. Did some reading on the help file and also some other material about PID tuning. Tuning the 3D DC table is sort of like tuning the VE fuel table, i assume? once it's tuned, any boost target being set will just work. I finally ripped the HKS boost controller out and put in the mac solenoid. so much cleaner and easier. i can't believe how much extra wiring and junk the aftermarket boost controller has. will start tuning the boost control soon
  20. Here's a log of the start up https://www.dropbox.com/s/42twowjw8yyl51m/PC Datalog - 2021-05-8 2%3B02%3B56 pm cold start.llgx?dl=0
  21. https://imgur.com/a/3pPTAui can't seem to figure out why my upload limit is still 183kb... even for a new post. I think boost target is supposed to be 2D with Eng speed only. and my Wastegate DC table is 2D instead of 3D. it has only Eng speed how do you add / delete an axis? oops sorry just found out you can select "none" from dropdown while at this topic.... can someone post a typical setup for boost control with standard 3 port Mac valve? my target boost is 240kpa
  22. When it's completely cold, as soon as "StartUp Offset Table" goes away, it starts to idle a bit rough. it's a very rough transition. Idle AFR target is 0.98 lambda with CLL turned on at 20C ECT. it's not a fueling issue, i even tried adding fuel in warm up enrichment without CLL, even at 0.90 lambda it doesn't help. It smooth itself out after ECT gets to around 40-50C. i think it's something with the idle actuator position? should i increase base position? Even if PC Link works in Parallels, it's still a VM environment with emulated ports. I wouldn't trust it much to use it for live tuning. for log files and map editing it's perfectly fine.

I use Mac too, the only windows PC I have is the notebook for my car. i use Parallel to run Windows on my Mac to use PC Link to review log files and make adjustments.
