Yes the Storm would be a good choice for an engine like that. Consider the Xtreme if there are any dreams about traction control, electronic throttle or paddle shift in future.
Our ECU's dont have ignitors built in so you would need to add external ignitors into the wiring if you keep the edis coils. The Megasquirt usually had ignitors added internally to drive those coils. Or you could change to some different type of coil with ignitors built in.
There are a couple of common VW golf 4 tower ones (one wasted option, one sequential), a subaru 4 tower wasted one, or you could go to somethging like LS2 or IGN1A etc.
