    Evo ACD / DBW error

Hey @Adamw, Turns out, not all evo ACD ecu pin outs are the same- especially with the evo 7. I’ve got the system working now with the 3 diff modes back and functioning Cheers.

    Evo ACD / DBW error

@Adamw thanks. Ended up cutting the remainder of pin 39 wire and terminated it safely but still experiencing the same 3 lights on the dash issue. Something more sinister at play going on. Or should I be looking at depinning the factory tps wiring from the ecu connectors and removing that from the equation all together? Currently the factory tps connector in the engine bay is cable tied to the firewall in free space

    Evo ACD / DBW error

Hey @Adamw Just on this, Ive spliced my tps main to what i think is the correct wire/pin on an evo 7 ACD ecu (solid green). Ive just bridged the two with a splice and am experiencing an erratic idle with ECU Fault Code 29: An Volt 7 below Error Low value. To get rid of this, should i Have cut the solid green wire at the ACD ecu end and just crimped in my spliced wired from the TPS main? In my head i think Ive created a loop which is giving the feedback to the Link ecu and giving the error?

Thanks Adam, I created my own wiring loom and didn’t include that. I’ll sort it out

    Evo ACD / DBW error

Hey brains-trust, I cant remember if i saw it on this forum or not. Is anyone familiar with the extra steps involved with setting up a DBW set up on the evo platform? Pedal and throttle on mine is working superbly, however the car throws the 3 ACD lights up on the dash immediately as the car starts moving - when first started it will show whatever mode is selected (tarmac, gravel, snow) then holds all 3 on as soon as its moved. From memory there is something that needs to wire to the ACD ECU, but cant remember. Is anyone able to shed some light? G4+ pnp ecu. Cheers, Mick
  6. Thank you Adam, and you're correct. Auto side of the switch holds on, I do like your idea of rolling a/lag on the manual side - very clever That negates the need for me to have a keypad set up which isn't what i wanted to do, so thanks for that I'll get to sorting this out this morning, thank you mate.
  7. Hey all, Just after some help. Id like to use the factory intercooler spray button in the evo as a dual output boost setting. The switch is set up for manual hold spray, auto spray on the factory ecu and a middle off position. The sprayer reservoir was removed years ago and haven't been using the system. How would I go about setting this up in the ecu? Trying to learn how to do it. The switch itself has two wires coming out of the connector that terminates on the ecu. I've got a pnp g4+ with two xs looms available; one is for dbw Cheers.
  8. @Brad Burnett In these attachments, have I set the GP out put up correctly ? Im unsure how to give it conditions like the ones you mentioned above. How do I do that part? Regards, Mick
  9. Thanks @Brad Burnett Adding these conditions is a very new concept to me, I’m not planning to tune the car myself. Just looking to get a base understanding and how to set these types of things up. I’ll connect pclink and have a look around/ create the table but will leave the rest for the tuner I’ll double check pin85 on the number 2 relay is switched via keying the ignition. Cheers mate
  10. Hey guys, couple of questions; Just needing someone to help me out here in-case Ive got the set up incorrect. I'm using a radium twin in-tank fuel pump set up. Primary pump is wired correctly and starts the car, just need to know if I'm on the right track with number 2 pump. Pump 2 relay: Battery+ 30a fuse to pin 30 on the relay, pin 87 to the 2nd fuel pump + . To trigger the pump I've wired IGN#8 from a XS loom to 86, 85 is +12v source (spliced this with fuel pump 1 relay wiring) - Am i on the correct path with this relay wiring? And secondly, I'm wanting to stage the secondary pump so its activated at a certain map pressure. Am I correct in saying that once pump #2 is designated as IGN#8 on the ecu that I'll need to set up a table to do this? Could someone give me a detailed run down on how to set that table up? I had a look through the help files in pc link, and kept coming up with No topics found Thanks, Mick.

    XS Loom questions

@Adamw Quick question mate, just wanting to know whether I've made an error in splicing the can lambda positive and ground into XS #2 +5v and ground wires? Or does the positive need a 12v source and the ground needs to be body grounded? Tia.

    XS Loom questions

True points, thanks mate. The two 460s is on the little too much side, I prefer that as a safety net than relying on a single and getting stuck somewhere in the event of a pump failure Ive already invested in the radium set up I don't think I want to play with the fueling set up again for a while unless the fuel temp get a bit excessive with the two pumps That being the case, a good friend of mine has developed a really nice billet surge that I'm interested in should i need to visit the fueling again

    XS Loom questions

Awesome, thanks for the feed back @Adamw I think I'll leave the DI3 or 5 free for the time being as I had that IC switch lined up for switchable dual tune function Thanks for the help, I'll report back if I come unstuck

    XS Loom questions

Hey all, just after some help and advice for a secondary fuel pump and ethanol sensor wiring for G4+ Evo 7, four plug ecu. Firstly; I'm utilizing a radium 2x 416 fuel pump hangar in the car and have rewired the main pump wiring to suit as well as the wiring on the secondary pump. I'm wanting to trigger the second pump via the ecu. I have the relay for #2 assigned as; 87 fuel pump, 30 is ground, 85 is switched +12v and 86 will run to the ecu. With the wire on 86, will I need to buy a second XS loom for that? Ive converted the car over to DBW and currently have one xs loom for the pedal and tb occupying the AUX/Volt plug. Secondly, which ropes back to the second XS loom, with the ethanol sensor, I believe I'm going to need DI 7/8 or 9 input, the power and ground for that (second connector on the ecu) Will I be able to splice the fuel pump wiring into IGN 7 or 8 on that connector/loom, and then further on down the track splice my other sensors (oil temp, press etc) in the second xs loom? Thanks in advance

    Evo DBW

@Adamw Hey mate, back at it again still trying to set this thing up. Log and ecu save is attached. I tried to capture the log during on-set up mode an then on to show the error Im getting when I move from on set up to ethrottle on. Its now throwing E-Throttle Min %DC Limit at me. What have i set up incorrectly there? In on - setup mode, 100% pedal input is visually only giving me about a third of throttle plate movement P - 7.00 I - 0.102 D - 30.00 deadband 0.2% Max clamps 90%/-90% ECU save.pclr ethrottle log.llg

    Evo DBW

Quick question @Adamw how likely is it that the throttle body Ive got needs to be replaced? Had a mate around yesterday testing my wiring at the connector end of the TB and the link loom plug. Everything was checking out fine with that. From the attached photo, the tps main closed will not drop lower than 2.429v, would that indicated that the tb itself may have an internal issue based on any experiences you have seen? Calibration is pretty average, using the pedal it gets to about ~50% throttle input, the butterfly in the TB starts to flap back and forth pretty wildly.

    Evo DBW

@Adamw no probs will do, thanks mate. Bit of an update, got it working to a degree I think the fine tuning of the pid needs further adjustment

interesting, thanks for that. Tune is attached, bare in mind the car currently is untuned, it just has the base evo map loaded into the ec (new) @Adamw lancer ecu tune.pclr

    Evo DBW

@Adamw set it up this morning following that arrangement and hit the calibration, and I'm getting an error back; Error 16: cannot reach target 98% what is this actually meaning?

@Adamw throttle body is from a CH lancer. Aside from changing the derivative, is the rest of it looking ok to start up and move the car around?

    @Adamw dropped them figures in and saved to the ecu, ran the calibration and arrived at this error, would I need to change the set up values?;
