  1. Hi

I checked how I can setup paddle shift with the gear shift control. It's looks like all conditions are there, when a shift may occure. But what I'm missing is a output that can be configured to switch when the gear shift control release the shift. The digitial input are used fo the paddles > shift control checks may I shift (rpm not to high, shift request long enough etc.) ?  > if shift controll allows shift, it must be possible to set an AUX port to activate the gear shift hardware (shift-cylinder), depending on shift control.

I haven't found a possibility to set an AUX depending on shift status.  Can you please add this in next firmware. Thats the only reason why paddle shift isn't possible at the moment.

  2. Yes I had also to readjust and now click on the Layout dropdown menu at the top and choise with the mouse the right tab. I also work with the keys to go throuh pages. But with around 15 pages not easy.

Passwort protection for just some maps would be great! Maybe a list where you can choose what Maps should be protected would do the job quite well.

We must really allow to clear fault codes also when passwort protection is active.Because i often have to check loggs from my customers remoutly after they get the CEL light on. If everything looks ok, the must be able to clear the CEL without giving out the passwort.  I have alot of customers far away from my workshop. They can't make a huge travel just to reset the CEL.

  3. I thought you may not share temp sensor signals, because it will disturb the signal. Voltage shouldn't be a problem, because voltage channels have a very high input resistance.

  4. Absolutly great! big enprovement above the last Storm.

I just wondering now what's the difference to the G4+ Extreme ECU, except a few less inputs and one knock channel less?

Would be great if you can make a comparison chart and post it on the website. Besides, I'm still missing the old G3 Pinouts and Manuals on the website.

  5. Plus one for that, since every customer can do that on an OEM ECU and i don't think we should give the customer the feel that a LINK ECU limits him more than the factory one. The opposite are the driving argument to go for a standalone.

Maybe a option to just reset the light and leave the errors in the event manager could be a good option, too.

  6. Yes please post them :-)

Simon, you should have a look on microsoft viso. Many companies use it to draw motorsport harnesses.

In the beginning it can be timing consuming to draw templates, forms and parts. After that it's okay and possible to make nice diagrams.

  7. Good idea, that would save some time, sice it wouldn't be necessary anymore to install a second knock sensor to verified knock with a external audio device.

Wouldn't be possible to just plugin earphones to the PC?

  8. First, check all ground points and get sure, that all devices have the same ground.

Second, i found the AEM widebands are very inaccurate. The read on low AFR values much too rich and on high afr's much too lean. And there is not seldom more than 0.5 AFR difference.

I always calibrate them against my Dynapack wideband (MOTEC PLM), which I think is very trustworth.

  9. Hi

Unfortunately the G3 Wiring Help file doesn't work in the V3.40 PC-LINK and the Pinouts which was listed at the old website are not any longer aviable on the new website.

I need very urgently a ECU header pinout for the G3. Will be great if someone can post a picture.

  10. Regarding gear trim table:

I want gear trim just in some of the maps and not all. The gear trim table are applied globaly to all WG tables. There is no option to activate it just for one WG table and I already use the WG target y-axis already for other things like TPS based boost or turn knob voltage for different boost levels.

  11. Yes, its more or less a plug and play solution. You can find the CAN settings in the PC-Link Help file.

I sent such a unit to Electonz a few months ago and they worked out the CAN protocol.

  12. Ok great. thanks Simon.

Can you add that to the help file, please? It's sometimes a bit difficult to see which ECU has which features  and connectors. As example LINK says that Plugin for cars which don't have a MAP senso from factory, has an inbuilt one. Problem is as an example JDM supras or Evo's do have a Map sensor from factory, but the EDM modells not. So a comparison chart will be helpfull.

  13. Hi Jason

Okay, thanks for clarification. Personaly I'm not involved into drag racing, so I have never had a request for such an ultimate ECU. But i can understand your reasons.

  14. one other question

how many expansion connecters does the newest version Supra Plugin have? one or two?

    Hi Mapper,

I have an old V88 file for that engine with all of the logic setup for the twins etc to work.

It would take some time on my behalf to sift through the literally thousands of PCL files I have.

    Regards

    Dave.

will be very kind if you could send me this map. Sound interessting to have a look on it.

  15. Yes Dave, I can image how much work are behind, and I love it that bugs on Electronz products are very seldom. Think they invest a lot into testing before release of new firmware. Thats a thing I really appreciate about this products.

Just read through the first posts on this thread. Seams like some letters get lost or wrong with the transfer of old forum threads to the new forum. Ok maybe it's also my bad english ;-)

Your experimenting with GPS sounds interessting. Please let me/us know if you found a usefull solution.

    thanks

    Regards Adrian

  16. Hi mapper,

just sell more FURY's ha ha :)

I run the LSU 4.9 directly to my FURY and also run another 2  different WIDEBANDS as extra inputs to compare data.

The other 2 wide band AFR's are Autronic A analyser and the other is NGK AFX

    Regards

    Dave.

haha yes Sir, Furry's are great! I will also wire in one into my personal skyline as soon i find the time.

Sounds interessting, I would love to hear some comparison results!

    Regards

    Adrian
