  1. I just figured out a way to read the crank and cam trigger, As well as the G4 extreme I have a Atom G4+ and was going to plug it into the engine, crank it over so I can see what the senders are doing.
  2. Hi Scott, Okay swapped sensors and no change, increased and decreased trigger arming as well as increased and decrease "Trigger Filtering" no change. It is as if the way the teeth line up it only works at 0 & 80 degree It just did happen for me. Had a bit of a go with the scope but didn't work it out, its only a single channel one. Given the sensors on the motor are most likely 25 years old in design as well as physical I was thinking of swapping to a Hall Effect Sensor. I need to be able to run the engine to 10,000 rpm so don't think the older sensors will stand the pain. For high RPM are hall effect sensors better? Will the trigger circuit handle 12V from the hall effect sensor? Have attached the file G4 Extreme EG33 SVX 160613.pcl
  3. HI Scott, The sensors are working okay with a standard wiring harness and ECU so I will swap them over for different senders and lower the arming value. Yes have a scope, but using it might prove more interesting as lack experience. Thanks again for your help
  4. Have a G4 on a Subaru EG33, I am having trouble getting the timing correct using a timing light, In "Set Base Timing" I know from other people with the same engine that Offset adjustment should be 60 degrees & Ref Timing 10 degrees. At those setting I can't get a spark on cylinder 4. I can't get any sort of spark unless Offset is set at Zero or 80. When I try any other number the timing light doesn't work for some reasons. You can clearly see that 60 is the right number but I need the spark to work. Also is there anywhere on the G4 software that I can see the voltage that the triggers 1 & 2 are sending back to the ECU? Arming volts is 0.5V
  5. Hi Simon, The engine is a Subaru flat 6 EG33, engine is in a race car so really only care about full throttle. Want to end up revving to 10,000 rpm NA, it has two butterfly's in the one throttle body. The point I took the reading was were the fuel pressure reg vacuum was taken off which on examination goes into a inlet track. What I will do is install new vacuum take off points into the right and left side on the manifold and see what the reading are then. Will also do a reading as I open the throttle slowly. Thanks for the help.
  6. Hi Scott, Thank you for the quick response, its greatly appreciated. I am interested to know if you think I can use the MAP, attached is the results of the logging, If not whats the best way for me to approach the tune maps? I will try at the back of the manifold in clearer airflow and see how that goes
  7. I have the older style silver MAP sensor I brought from you guys a few years back any chance you can tell me the voltage pressure scale relationship. I am logging the manifold pressure of a engine with the original ECU using the silver Link MAP sensor so I can use that info to make it easier for me to do the change to a G4. I think from memory it was a 2.5 Bar MAP Also I am setting up the fuel and timing table with rpm & MAP as the two scales is that the best way or is there other inputs that should be used for the tables?
  8. On the Atom ECU - G4+ If it is hooked up the a wide band O2 can it be set up to self learn so it can create the fuel table in the same way the more expensive one do as well. Tony
  9. Is it possible to control the left and right bank of a V12 engine differently. For example reading the O2 Sensor on one bank and making adjustment separately to the opposite bank. Tony
  10. I have a G4 Xtreme and I can't get it to talk to the Display Link. Â I have tried a couple of ECU options setting in the display but still no luck. Â Have selected G4 for ECU type but didn't work so tried a few other but none work. Down the bottom of the screen it says 'Status - G4 Â 0.0Hz' Any suggestion
  11. Phil Worked perfectly, if you were here I would buy you a beer, I am new to programing ECU's so I feel a bit lost in the woods at this point. The project may cause my hair to fall out. Always learning new program is the worst thing possiable. Tony Â
  12. In the set up PDF it mentions on page 70 to set the fuel Table Load Axis I can select either, MAP or MGP or TPS. for what ever reason the options are only MAP or BAP or BAP/MAP So what do I need to do to get TPS to be on the load table for fuel? Tony
  13. As I understand it if I go to individual throttles or large cams the MAP sensor won't work correctly so that leaves me to use the TPS on the fuel table as there s no ability to use a MAF is that correct or has things changed? Tony
  14. Hi Simon, The engine is 3.3l 6 cylinder how do I determine what size MAP sensor I need, aim to run the engine at around 10,000rpm NA. Tony
  15. I am trying to fit a Link Extreme G4 in to a Subaru SVX which has a 3.3l engine, as far as I can find there is no MAP in the system it currently has a Air Flow Sensor, do I also need to add a MAP sensor. The aim is to be able to upgrade the ECU on the car to a more modern one and use wide band sensors to improve the performance of the car over all. TonyÂ
