  1. Hi Frank, vehicle speed comes from the BMWs rear diff. Its a 2 wire reluctor sensor that is wired from the diff to the vehicle instrument cluster. You can tap into it with a digital input and sensor ground to the 2 wire reluctor sensor and calibrate it so the ECU has vehicle speed too. I traced the wires and tapped them to the FURY and calibrated it to get the vehicle speed data to the ecu. Thats how I did it.
  2. Many thanks gents ! I went with the manual calibration as suggested and it seems to work like a charm. I will recheck everything tomorrow and fine tune the dbw.
  3. Thanks Dean for pointing that out. My bad, I copied the correct base map to the shared drive that has the correct TPS ( main & sub) open and close values. The previous map i shared had the wrong manual calibration for the TPS.
  4. Hi gents, hope all is well. I need some advice on calibration of BMW S54B32 DBW with a Fury G4X . We installed a APS and DBW unit from a S54B32 into a S52B32 motor. We wired the APS and the DBW motor as per wiring diagrams in the help files. In setup mode, I can calibrate the APS sucessfully. However, in the throttle calibration mode, I get an error "error 5 " no TPS movement. I have tried a few times but cant seem to pass the auto TPS calibration and keep getting the same error 5. When I leave the ethrottle mode in 'setup mode' I can press the APS and the throttle will open and close as per expected. I understand that driving in setup mode is dangerous as there is no failsafe. I have attached logs of the APS & TPS (main & sub) tracking relatively well for reference in 'setup mode' and even in 'ACTIVE' mode. I used the suggested PID values that I found from this forum . I also note that some that forum users suggest to remove 1-2 springs from the BMW DBW motor. Just checking before I proceed.   6. Thanks for the feedback. The sensor was purchased from an authorised Bosch dealer in Australia. I didnt have a new spare sensor to swap and test yesterday but we did install the same wideband 02 sensor to another car and it worked fine and not throwing any errors. This leads me to suspect that there something wrong with the supply to the sensor or to the Fury but its not throwing any other errors from other sensors. The current maincode firmware on the Fury is 6.20.33. There is a newer firmware availlable now but I doubt this would be the issue or is this worth a try to upgrade the firmware? Thank you
  7. Hi gents, We have a brand new Link Fury G4X with a new LSU 4.9 bosch sensor installed in a vehicle and was tuned without issues a few months back. The vehicle came back for a checkup after less then 500km . We noticed that the AFR from the logs was all over the place. We checked the fuel system, and the pressure is stable and is holding at WOT as expected. When first starting the car, the wideband 02 seems to heat up and come to operating tempreature without an error as expected. After a few mins of driving, the AFR seems unstable but the car drives fine like how it was tuned before. From the logs attached, I noticed the lambda is throwing an 'error 24'. It will read lean then swing to rich. When the vehicle is at WOT for a few seconds, the wideband 02 sensors begins reading super rich at 9:1 AFR and then mid way thru the pull, it will stops reading and is locked at 147:1 afr. We checked the loom and the wiring and all looks fine.   9. Hi Adam, We double check the wiring and confirmed vanos solenoids are getting 12V and connected to the correct auxilary outputs. I swapped the pressure solenoid to Aux 5 and bleed to aux 6. I calibrated it again succesfully. However, when I rev to 2.5-3k rpm I noticed that "inlet bank 1 signal : Error :extra pulses " displayed in run time values. I still cant get the Inlet cam target/position to track tracking together. The exhause cam target/position is still tracking well.   12. Hi Adam, thanks for your advise. I used your map and calibrated it sucessfully. Exhaust and inlet bank tooth offsets changed slightly. Exhaust cam target/position is now tracking to the exhaust inlet map. Im not having as much luck with the intake side yet and will check the wiring after this to confirm but its a step in the right direction. Just to clarify, which are minimum clamps did I set wrong?   13. Hi all, I need some advice and a sanity check on my VVT configuration for a BMW S50B32 with a link Fury ecu. For the VVT setup , I use the cam angle test 'calibration ' function and inlet and exhaust tooth counts were populated automatically, 6 and 7 tooth accordingly. Calibration passed but when I tried to advance the intake and exhaust cams, both inlet and exhast bank1 positions are not moving to match the target values. From the logs, the solenoids does seem to be moving and no known errors reported from the ecu. When testing the solenoids, we can hear them activate and the solenoids do receive 12Vsupply. This could be due a mechanical VANOS fault, but before I rebuild it I apprecaite if you can confirm my setup from the logs and basemap. To note, we did replace both VANOS solenoid connectors as advice from the link documentation. Any advice is much appreciated . Thank you very much.   14. Adam, many thanks for the support. I have upgraded the firmware and rechecked TDC. Connected the lambda and was found instantly. Issue resolved. Thanks and have a great weekend ahead.

  16. Adam, yes both are running the same bitrate of 1Mbit/s. The module does feel warm to the touch when the car is started. Battery voltage to the ecu is strong when car is running. I confirmed that the lambda is receiving 12V supply. From runtime values there is no values, when motor is off or when its running.
  17. I am not sure where to find the release notes on firmware upgrades but a firmware upgrade is always a good idea . I just wanted to check if I missed anything obvious. I will double check the supply feed to the ecu. Thank you.
  18. Hi all, I have this peculiar issue that I cant figure out. I may be missing the obvious and apprecaite any advise. I recently removed a good working LINK CAN lambda module from a Link G4X Mitsu Evo 8 Plug & play ecu and installed in another vehicle with a Link G4X Evo 3 plug & play ecu. I have configured the CAN setup as I commonly would but when I go to the 'CAN devices' I cant seem to find the Lambda CAN module from the Link G4X evo 3 ecu. I am using the same CAN2/OBD expansion connector/loom from that I took from the Link G4X Mitsu evo 8 ecu and installed this in the Link G4X Evo 3 ecu. I tired many times but I cant seem to find the Link Lambda CAN module. I even tried enabling CAN1/RS232 connector on the Evo 3 ecu but cant seem to find the module. However, when I reinstall the CAN2/OBD connector/loom and the Link Lambda CAN module back into the G4X Mitsu Evo 8, it finds it straight away and it works. The Link G4X Mitsu Evo 8 ecu firmware is 6.20.33 and the Link G4X evo 3 firmware is 6.18.10. Do I need to upgrade the firmware to get the CAN working?
  19. Yes, we confirmed 12V going to the solenoids and it 'clicks ' when each output (intake+exhaust) solenoid test mode is activated. We will order the seals for the vanos units and will rebuild it. Thanks again for your help and expert advice.

  21. Thanks, I have set Aux 5 state to back to low. Sadly, this didnt help . I swapped pressure and bleed output allocations and still no noticeable difference. I think this may be hardware issue. The motor idles a bit too lumpy. Cheers.
  22. Thanks for advice mate. I logged TPS delta and its noisy, varies from -4 to +4. Even when I set my accel deadband to >5ms I still noticed some minor 0.1-0.2 accel fuel in the logs. I would like to find out where Im going wrong. To make sure I dont have any accel fuel during idle, I had to turn off the accel senstivity tables from 0-1200rpm.   23. Hi gents, I need some advice on accel enrichment. While idling I noticed that the Accel Fuel (ms) was active slightly even when the TPS was not moving. As I understand, the Accel enrichment is based on TPS movements ( above set threshold) and will use the formula based on the Accel sensitivity and Accel cold correction to add additional as per the fuel film model. To rectify this, I set the Accel Sensitivity Table to '0' from 0-1k rpm cells and this stop the Accel fuel during idling. I must have missed something. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.
  24. Hey mate, hope youre well. Just to update, car starts & runs fine now . Thank you very much for your help. Calibration passed but when I tried to advance the intake and exhaust cams, both inlet and exhast bank1 positions are not moving to match the target values. From the logs, the solenoids does seem to be moving and no known errors reported from the ecu. This could be due a VANOS fault, but before I remove it I apprecaite if you can confirm my setup from the logs and basemap. The motor idle is lumpy and I had to raise the idle target to 1100rpm to keep it steady with AC. From the logs, I can see even at idle the inlet and exh solenoids are slighly moving and i suspect this is atrtibuting to the lumpy idle. To note, we did replace both VANOS solenoid connectors as advice from the link documentation. Any advice is much appreciated . Thank you very much.
  25. Thanks, I will try amending the arming thershold today. We had to cut short testing yesterday, to send the injectors for cleaning and to swap in new spark plugs. We will continue testing and will check VVT cam test too and report back. Thanks for all your help and have a great day ahead.
