  2. Hi guys have set up a clutch switch for launch control but it seems to stay active when driving after intial launch I have my arming set at 4 seconds I have tried to check switch mounting adjustment but as the switch only moves like 10mm there isn't really any room to move it Any idea's
  3. hi guys am running a g4 extreme and have had the tacho duty cycle set at 50% and the multipler is set a .88 which gives me a reasonable 100-150 high rpm reading but is 3-400 out down lower in the rangeif I get the idle rpm correct the multipler reads .80 but then I am around 900rpm out at 5-6000rpm I have read the help file and it says that the multipler should be set at 1 and the tacho duty cycle needs adjusting will the duty cycle correct the rpm reading thru the entire rpm sweep I tried adjusting it some while the engine was reving and didn't see any alteration any idea's

Hey mate have just installed a Link 4bar Map sensor and switched from rx7 to 4bar on the map sensor selection then run a map calibration is there anything else to be done to confirm its reading correctly cheers now you can advise me on map limit table Brent mention that they can be upto 15kpa out ? thanks e85 runner.pcl I havent done a log run yet

  6. ok so why would boost be limiting to 220 kpa we added more duty cycle but nothing happened do we need to raise the map limit I thought the map limit was directly in collaboration with boost limit. hence having a higher map limit for e85 of 24kpa map but didn't even gain more than 1 psi guess I have this all wrong ok so i just looked at the boost trims ECT @50 Degrees is incorrect id say the IAT seems ok maybe a bit high early on I blew off my boost signal fitting from the intercooler pipe to waste gate boost controller so I'm very happy to say the boost limit must of worked thank Christ, we managed to do 2 more runs with it plugged off so thumbs up link it is only a $300 engine running low 12's so I wasn't to concerned if it blew up we just wanted to add more boost but nothing ever happened then we could of gone faster

  9. hi guys does the second map limit take over from the first map limit once the virtual switch is triggered ?as it appears they are both active ?or is there a way to switch table 1 off I have looked and it didn't seem so

Hi guys is there a way to get a 3d map limit so I can run separate maps for petrol and e85 the petrol has ect on the axis but would like different map limits for ethanol perhaps a 3d map based on ethanol percentage .I am running dual fuel maps now .my ethanol maps are switched off a virtual switch I read about on the forums thanks guys my 4d ignition and 5d fuel overlays i am running ethanol percent and rpm also virtually switched at 20% ethanol .If I put 10 in the 5d fuel.map at a certain ethanol percent rpm does this add 10% or reduce 10% to the fuel map it says it reduces the fuel from the active fuel table .?same applies for 4d ignition .cheers Ross

    flex fuel setup

    hi guys have had a tune with flex fuel before which i saved to a file after my engine blew up and have been running a runner engine which i have been playing with tuning without the risk of blowing up my good engine i have now reloaded the previous tune and pretty much adjusted the petrol tune almost to where i want it.so do i then tune with e85 then will the PC interpolate the blend or is this only in the g4+ ecu i noticed the AFR target map has been setup with RPM and Ethanol on the axis is this what is used to mix the fuel mix,boost is setup using ethanol & RPM i have set the MAP limit to 260kpa which i hope will limit boost ? @ 22kpa question do i need to run 4d and 5d maps to run the e85 otherwise how do i run different fuel and ignition for e85 could you look at my cold start takes a long time when cranking to start cold i tried to add a log thanks i have also set up a clutch switch for launch control could u glance at this and see if the setup is safe i haven't adjusted the rpm yet on the new engine but are heading to Tokoroa drags on the 25th Feb 17 so will have to look at it I'm looking at running more boost with e85 which i just set on the current waste-gate duty cycle Thank You new engine dt tune dont delete and idle.pcl cold start file cheers Ross do the g4+ Black storm ecu's not run id1000 type injectors as they are high impendance injectors is this correct and do they plug into the same wiring harness for easy upgrade from g4 to g4+ i have the g4 extreme Log 6-02-17 9;00;10 pm.llg
  13. hi guy's my valiant takes alot of cranking before starting i tried some extra crank enrichment but didn't wana tutu to much 75.pcl im running a extreme g4 this isnt bad once warm i have also added closed loop lambada to stabilize my idle as it would fluctuate some and could you look at my launch control if possible is it safe thank you in advance Ross

Hi guys my car has started to run lean all of a sudden and cant figure out why Would valve lash do this the tune hasnt changed I Did alter the idle screw to lower idle which would make u think less air rather than more air . idle is set to open loop with idle stepper I have not changed the lash either

  17. the block 2 error has gone now and today at lunch i had fitted a new icm and it fired straight up then stopped it was very hot to touch .tryed again tonight thinking it was shot fired up an ran but missed then stopped perhaps when its getting hot tryed to attach a log file i ran but its too big spoke to nzefi said maybe crank signal set wrong but its set to falling and is a 3 channel mitzi igniter so i think this is correct they also mentioned the the signal and igniter shouldn't have 12 volts to it while ignition on and no engine running i have 12 volts to it continuous with key active ? have also heard mention of firmware issue earlier also ? my first replacement igniter wad $280 lasted less than a month net one 5 minutes lol but was only $90 im only a poor plumber and cant keep this up lol
  18. have the error gone now but but have no spark have just recently replaced my Mitsubishi J723T Ignition Control Module $280 ouch and now it seems to have failed again this is less than 100 kms i have run a ignition test and can here the igniter very faintly ticking away but am not getting any spark as its to weak does any one have any idea's please

    hi have some extra tables id like to setup been looking cant figure how to activate extra tables where do i go to find them please i have setup a digital input but cant figure out loading the other files am wanting load a complete tune petrol vs e85 cheers have both tunes done just wana learn and do myself if poss have saved copies so cant be to bad
