Samueljon
Hi I seem to be missing the trig1 signal and rpm when the Ecu has the switches flicked to the Jdm/nz position but when on ADM I get both trigs and rpm but the engine is rotating in reverse apparently. Its an sr20det running a taarks hall sensor set up thanks for any help
Adamw
With the jumpers in the ADM position, please do a triggerscope while cranking and attach that and a copy of your tune here. Here's a video showing how to do the scope - this is G4+, but G4X is pretty similar: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AiYbYlZQuRHPmidU5V2CmTcv6t2y?e=B7ohxR

Adamw
You didnt do something right during that triggerscope by the looks. Did you only click the capture button when the engine was cranking?

Adamw
Ok, so that looks fine. Have you set the base timing?
Samueljon
I haven’t properly set the base timing yet, I installed the sensor in the week, I shall try and get on setting the base to timing this week. i assume that’s a timing light jobbie
Samueljon
What would be the best way to set the base timing without the car running? the car was running before the new set up (nistune and the standard cas)
Adamw
Same way you check it when it is running. Connect a timing light to #1 coil and crank it over. Adjust offset until the timing marks line up.
Samueljon
Hi, going to set this all up this weekend, just to double check, leave the Ecu set as ADM and set the timing up as normal ignoring the warning saying it’s in the wrong rotation cheers sam
Vaughan
out of curiosity could you please share a picture of the warning saying the engine is rotating in the wrong direction?
Samueljon
Comes up with 2 error codes and this when you click on them
Adamw
What are the error codes though and where are they displayed? That is just the help file that you are showing in your photo. The rotation direction is mostly only used on two stroke snow mobiles where you run the engine backwards to back up instead of having a reverse gear. It is not even possible to run a 4 stroke engine in reverse so I dont think this runtime would ever say reverse rotation on a four stroke.
