Flandrs
Hi Have a evo viii here with some problems with the ac g4+ plug in first off i didn't got the pump to start then i changed ac clutch to high instead of low and the pump started.. injector 5/ac clutch Then ac is always on, if i turn of the button on the dashboard, ac is off. if i turn on heat, ac pump is on. Have checked runtime values to see if some turns on when pushing ac button on/off.. no luck... How can i solve this as it seems to be some wiring issues or setup that is wrong Couldn't attach tune here as it was to big..
Adamw
Does the DI6 runtime show Green/Active when the AC switch is on and off when the switch is off?
Flandrs
No that is what i also thought it should do but there is no sign of on and off when i set ac clutch to high di6 turns active all the time of i change back and tests low and high and with pull up there is still no reaction on di6
Adamw
There is a pressure switch in the AC request circuit that turns off the ac request when the pressure is outside normal limits. Maybe try bridging across that switch to see if that is locking it out.
Flandrs
So when pulling the connector out on the sensor, di 6 turns on and ac clutch activates but it won't happen anything when pushing ac button on the dash... Where should the ac button connect to the ecu??
Adamw
Thats not what I said to do. I said bridge the sensor. If you have it open circuit then of course no signal is going to reach the ecu. Also, it sounds like you have the pull-up turned on on DI6, it should be off.
Flandrs
When pulling Connector out ac pump starts when looping connector with a little cable, ac turns off pull up is off when adjusting pressure high and low what is the recomended for that? Adamw
With the pressure switch bridged, if you press the AC switch, do you now see DI6 change status?
Flandrs
Tried that too without any luck.. i’ll have to measure to verify there is no wire issue between ecu and ac button..
Adamw
There is no direct connection from the AC button to the ecu. The ECU receives the AC request from the AC control unit. You should be able to look up a factory service manual online and follow the AC diagnosis guide.
