EVOVISIONS Posted January 9, 2021 Report Share Posted January 9, 2021 Start off by saying I’m sure this is already out there but I am looking for the correct Connector (part number) to the LINKECU board for the CANBUS to OBD2 (because I’m trying to pass emissions with my Evo 8) so that way a OBD2 scanner can read my ECU without getting a message. Adamw Posted January 10, 2021 Report Share Posted January 10, 2021 The OBD2 output of an aftermarket ECU is only for driving a dash/gauge/logger etc, it does not have any of the readiness monitors or anything that an emissions test will require. The readiness stuff is all legislative and I believe in most jurisdictions you arent even allowed to interfere with the factory OBD2 socket - An aftermarket ecu would have to be wired to its own dedicated socket.
