Nielsen Rallysport
Hi there, I've just installed an aftermarket oil pressure sensor, which is working and reading fine. But I can't seem to get the factory oil warning light to work (even in test state). If I test the output (disconnected from cluster), it works with a test light. If I earth the factory oil warning light, it comes on. And if I earth Aux-5 on the ecu hooked up, the oil warning light comes on. The software is saying it the oil light is active when it should be. So I assume it's a setting in the software. Any suggestions? Image attached. Cheers, Mark
Adamw
What ecu? Is the ecu meant to ground the aux 5 wire to turn on the lamp or supply 12V?
Nielsen Rallysport
Civiclink 96 (g4x). Ground the wire to turn lamp on
Adamw
Aux 5 & Aux 6 on the civic ECU have special hardware fitted to highside drive the Vtec solenoid and intake flap. They cant do low side drive (provide ground). So you will either have to change the wiring so the other side of the lamp is grounded, or change to on of the other auxes or spare ign outputs.
