Home Built by Jeff Posted August 4, 2021 Report Share Posted August 4, 2021 I am setting up my G4X Extreme on an Audi V8 and I am trying to wire in the factory knock sensors, but they have 3 wires and I can't work out what I connect the 3rd wire to? Adamw Posted August 4, 2021 Report Share Posted August 4, 2021 The 3rd "wire" is the shield. It may or maynot be an actual wire, it may just be a braided sleeve or similar - although the "0.35" note suggests it is a wire. That should be spliced to ground at the ecu end, Typically we would splice these to the ground wires for the knock sensors and connect them all to the shield/ground pin B17. So using your diagram, you would splice the wires labelled sw, sw, ws, & ge all together and connect them to B17. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
