Where do I use the field installable CAN Plug

Hi guys, I have just purchased a ngttx, CAN lambda and a 5" strada street dash with all the associated bits and pieces. Where my question lies is around the field installable CAN Plug (101-0020) , can anyone point me in the direction of where it is utilised. Cheers
