BMW M54B30 Fury install

I am installing a Fury in a BMW 330 ci with a M54B30 motor.

From the original BMW wiring it appears the Crank and cam sensors have 3 connections, +12 volts, signal and earth.  In a drawing on this forum  I saw the earth wire appeared to go to a pullup resistor. Is that required?
The motor has a single Vanos (2 wire) solenoid on each cam.  The factory wiring had power to the solenoids and control switching the negative.  No diodes could be found in the wiring. Do I have that right?
The car will be a competition vehicle, should a delay off feature be added?  Below is the wiring any advice on use of inputs etc would be appreciated.  Thanks Andrew

No, that doesnt sound right, no resistors or anything extra should be required.  Connect signal and ground direct to ecu, 12V from any ign switched source.

Im not familiar with the M54, but assuming there are no diodes it will be fine wired the same way the factory had it.

No, I would only do hold power for engines with a stepper motor idle valve, it just adds unnecessary complication.
