Jump Starting

It would be pretty rare to damage an ecu from jump starting - but not impossible.  If for example a lead falls off or loses connection when cranking the starter motor will generate a large voltage spike that would be capable of damaging electronics.   Of course if you connect the leads backwards you will damage stuff too.
