Adamw Posted November 14, 2021 Report Share Posted November 14, 2021 It would be pretty rare to damage an ecu from jump starting - but not impossible. If for example a lead falls off or loses connection when cranking the starter motor will generate a large voltage spike that would be capable of damaging electronics.
