Wiring Apexi RSM to link atomII

Hi guys.. I’m currently running a link atom II g4+ in my 20v black top ae86 and I have no tacho/rev guage so I’m installing an Apexi rev speed meter, when the car is idling, the RSM is reading 7800 RPM, is there a I’ve tapped into trigger 1 which should be engine speed from my cam position sensor.

just wondering would you guys have seen this before?

Trigger 1 has 24teeth per cam rev.  You should conect it to an aux output and set it to tacho.
