Frank70 Posted May 12, 2022 Report Share Posted May 12, 2022 Hi, I have an E36 M3, it has two lambda sensors as standard, what do you guys do in this instance? Is it okay to just use one? I see a lot of people don't even use them on NA vehicles, but I don't know how the emissions test would work out for road use. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks! Fwdmn Posted May 13, 2022 Report Share Posted May 13, 2022 I was looking to go with a Storm if I decide not to use a lambda or maybe an higher model if it is necessary to do so. It is a good NA engine and I have no plans at all of introducing boost at any point. I am set on using Link due to previous use and support. Adamw Posted May 13, 2022 Report Share Posted May 13, 2022 You can do 2 bank closed loop lambda control or 2 bank narrow band control on a 6 cyl if you wish (ie correct 3 front cylinders and 3 rear cylinders separately). Fwdmn Posted May 13, 2022 Report Share Posted May 13, 2022 Good stuff, I used a Thunder previously on the first Honda but I'll be honest in that I cannot really stretch to it for this project, the BMW is much milder and trying to stay simple.
