kaptainballistik
Hey all. Is XP supported with any of the Link 4x PC link versions? (Couldnt see anything when i googled... I tried loading and its coming up as not a valid win32 application. ) is there a command like switch to initiate it in 32 bit mode? Not a big issue really, The Workshop laptop is dying and the next spare is a XP machine. (its got the management software for 3 other cars, So it would be convenient to get the Link software working!)

Do you mean during install or it installs ok but you get the error when you try to run pc link?

Adamw
I suspect it maybe the USB driver install. Does it look like it gets through most of the PC Link install (green bar progresses to right end) then it pops up the error?
kaptainballistik
Unfortunately I'm getting the issue when I double click the installer. ( so desn't even attempt!)
Adamw
Ok I have no idea then sorry. I dont have an XP pc to test. I do know it used to work last time I tried - but XP doesnt support the graphics for things like the surface graphs so it is not a particularly pleasant option anyhow. JasonK
I have a spare laptop just for my ecus (was running a Motec M48). I have the exact same issue trying to run PC Link on my Windows XP lap Top. It will download the Installer from Links website but once downloaded, when you click the icon I get the same error message "...not a valid win32 application". No big deal just hoped someone had a simple solution kaptainballistik
kaptainballistik
If it was a MSI you can sometimes de-compile and add the "32 bit" reference XP is looking for, Presuming its a 32 Bit app in the first place! Or run a switch (I.E. Filename.exe /32)) .exe? Yeah I ain't that good!
