Tori1157
Hello everyone. I'm currently working on fitting my G4X to my Subaru, which includes a CAN-Lamda on the downpipe. However I'm unsure how it should be wired to the ECU, the oem one has 2 wires going to the ECU, but I'm unsure which is which. Does anyone have an idea of how this should be done? I also have the wiring loom, if that can be used. Thanks for any inputs.
Adamw
I dont know the wagons well, what ecu do you have - I assume a WRX4X or WRX2X? You will want a CANJST, and probably a CANEXT. The red and black wires on the CANJST need to be connected to a relay that switches on with ignition.
Tori1157
I have the WRX & STI V5-6 version. From what i see in that picture and something i found just now, I'm missing a connetor, there's a CAN connector on the board. But i also read in the link software that the ecu should accept analog signal as well, so attaching it to the wiring loom should maybe work? Adamw
The WRX6 ecu was recently updated, so you possibly have the newer 4 pin CAN connector on that ecu. In that case you will need the CANJST4 cable and you wont need to provide your own power wiring. The Link CAN lambda does not have an analog output, only CAN. Tori1157
Got it, time to get that cable, thanks a lot for the help!
Adamw
Make sure you check whether your ecu has the 4 pin or 5 pin CAN socket before ordering the cable as it could have either depending on age.
Tori1157
It has 2x 4-pin CAN connectors (CAN1 and CAN2), and 1x 5-pin RS232 connector. Thanks again for the great answers
