ozyvr4
Hi guys , I'm researching how to set a DBW system into my VR4Link ecu. I have spoken to a representative that said the ecu can be modified to enable the DBW. I cant find any info on this procedure. Will the ECU modification enable new inputs into the ecu as I only have 1 ANV available. I suspect the Ecu will need 4 inputs to control the DBW. Any info would be appreciated. I want to have all worked out before I decide to send ecu away . Thanks Edited October 11, 2022 by ozyvr4 Double post
Adamw
Yes, if the ecu that we are doing the mod to is one of our older ones with few spare anvolt inputs they will also add some flying leads for extra analogs.
ozyvr4
Thanks for the reply.. How do I tell if it's 1 of the older ecus.
Adamw
The VR4 ecu is what I refer to as an old one - the adapter board hasnt been updated from its original G4 design which had less IO available.
ozyvr4
Thats great to hear. So how many extra inputs would be available.
ozyvr4
How many inputs and output does the circuit board have. What wire in ecu would it be based on. The reason I ask is I have been offered an opportunity to done some wiring work for someone and as paymemt will be receiving a Haltech Elite 1500. I have checked the feature list and it's got 12 anv input but they don't have dedicated temp inputs so it's not many more the the ecu I have. Adamw
Probably best to contact tech support. They should be able to tell you what is standard practice. I would expect only the extras needed for DBW functionality will be provided.
