Hello, Urgent currently at race meeting. G4X monsoon, rained overnight and didn't notice usb cable from ecu was in a puddle of water. Car does not start not start now. Thinking that can't be good. Does this upset the ecu? Can someone assist

Thanks, good to know. Managed to get it started and finished the day. Discovered no TPS signal so disconnected it and it started. As fuel and ignition maps use MAP it performed ok. Not quite sure how a faulty TPS could prevent it from starting but definitely connected no start, disconnected starts. Any thoughts?  Car sat outside overnight in a wild storm so suspect water has something to do with it. Car is K24 Honda powered Lotus Elise which has a louvered hatch over motor. Weirdly an ok spark was visible at plug gap while cranking but no sign of life with plugs installed and fuel sprayed into throttle body suggesting the spark disappeared. No backfires, completely dead. Again, thanks for the prompt reply.

Thanks very much for the replies and apologies for late response. Car was needed for another meeting so eliminated tps as an input but performance was off. Checked tune using compare with the map as it was prior to the issues and as well as the the tps, the fuel table was way off on closer inspection. This had not been touched but was up around 30% off at some points. Nothing else was different. Car is running competitively again and driver (not me) is happy although the situation with accel enrichment and transient spark retard is less than ideal. Running mostly above 5000rpms so not really missed. Last meeting was also in heavy rain and no issues. All very odd, only difference between meetings was tps delete and usb cable end not in water. Cable is now secured better and tps is gone so will see what happens.

Thanks
