Aqmar
My plan is to have traction control for my MR2 with 2GR engine. I have wired up all four ABS sensor which is a reluctor type sensor to the Digital Input and Sensor Ground of the Link G4x xTreme. We have use shielded cable from the socket wire of the ABS sensor up to the Link ECU. However when we jack up the car, Link ECU does not shows any reading even when engage 3rd gear and let the rear wheel spins. FYI, There is a reading when we connect oscilloscope to the sensor. Based on my understanding, Link g4x should be able to support up to 10kHz therefore having this kind of setup should no an issue. Any idea of what else might be the problem here? Adamw
Can you give us a pic of the oscilloscope capture? Mostly interested in what voltage it is reaching.
Aqmar
Reading on all 4 wheels is almost identical. This reading was taken at estimated speed of below 20km/h. The reading is much higher once it is more than 20km/h.
Adamw
The ch1 vertical res setting isn’t clear clear in that pic but I think it is set to 500mV. So your signal is only reaching ~0.8V. It needs to reach about 1.7V before the ecu will detect it
Vaughan
I have the front ABS sensors wired to the ECU in my 2GR MR2 and it doesn't see front wheel speed until around 20-25kph.
Aqmar
Just to update here. Manage to get the speed input working. The problem was somehow the sensor sits a little to far from the wheel that causes low reading. Adjusted the distance of that sensor and we got a good reading now everything up and running. @Vaughanyes same goes. only detect speed more than 20-25kph Thanks @Adamw and everyone for your respond Vaughan
