SR20DE+T No Spark - Tarks Cam Trigger

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Setup just completed:

SR20DE+T S15 engine

Using S15 SR20DE engine loom and have pinned to S15 SR20DET for coil pack wiring - I used 12V from distributor to power coils.

Tarks R35 GTR coil pack conversion

Tarks 12 Slot Cam trigger kit - https://www.efisolutions.com.au/hall-sensor-trigger-kit-sr20-s13-180sx-s14-s15

Fault:

I have spark when carrying out a ignition test.

Went to time the engine and have no spark while cranking - I have attached the trigger scope.

Looking at runtime values it is showing No signal from Trig 1 and Trig 2 - not sure if this is supposed to be this way.

I don't know if I have missed something simple - I am trying to start the car before it goes to tuner to make sure it is all ok.

There doesnt appear to be a signal at all.  Both Trigger 1 & 2 signals are sitting at 0.9V which would suggest a pinout issue I think.  Usually with a hall sensor it would be either close to 0V or close to 4V, never at some random in between voltage like this.

Hi Adam,

Thank you for your quick reponse.

Definitely a pinout issue - I used a diagram for the distributor wiring and had the wrong information.

I have just rewired and have carried out 2 new trigger scopes - I am getting 3 Trig errors, but I am now getting spark.

I then switched the Trig 1 and Trig 2 wire and did another scope.

Airgap between wheel and sensor is approx .6MM
