Cnstman
I have a i88 plug in for my subaru sti (2004) and would like to add the race technology dash. What can cable do I need to do this ? Will the dash 2 work or do I need the dash 2 pro? I won't be adding any additional logging etc. Just want a nice display dash for information from the vipec. Thanks.
Simon
The dash2 will work over serial is my understanding, It would pay to confirm this with Race Technology. Cable wise you will need a CANPCB and a CANSER. The Dash2pro we can actually do as a vi-pec branded unit if you want to head to a dash that is able to use CAN. Cnstman
Pros of can over serial? What's the price for the vipec branded unit? Is it more plug and play? Can you get me details on the rebranded dash2pro? In the us if that matters. Shop I go to is a vipec dealer now. Thanks.
Simon
CAN tends to be faster and will allow tuning with the dash still connected. Price wise best to talk to the dealer.
Sutkale
I think Dash2 is available with CAN interface suitable to Vi-Pec / Link: http://www.race-technology.com/wiki/ind ... NInterface What cables do I then need, if I decide to go with DASH 2?
Cnstman
The Dash 2 does not appear to have CAN inputs on the wiring diagram like the dash 2pro does, so I don't think it will do CAN http://www.race-technology.com/wiki/ind ... stallation http://www.race-technology.com/wiki/ind ... stallation

I´ll ask this issue from Race Technology directly to clear this out. This dash is really on my sight regarding the price level.
