Harry sti
Hi all I have tried to research a way to get my G4X to communicate with my android headunit (realdash app) through usb cable. But I can't get any setting I find online to work. I have read that canbus to usb cable might work but my ECU only has 1 can bus output that I can see and it's being used by the lamba. who has done this yet ? Does anyone have any info or know anyway to get realdash to connect with Cheers
Adamw
You will need one of these, it can be wired to the same bus as your lambda: https://www.seeedstudio.com/USB-CAN-Analyzer-p-2888.html Here's an old setup instruction video I done for someone else: Joxer

xarishewii
Hi. Any diagram how to connect CAN BUS to USB adapter on ecu?
Adamw
Connect CAN H from the ECU to CAN H on the adapter, connect CAN L on the ECU to CAN L on the adapter.

Does the ground on the USB CAN type 2 needs to be grounded as well?
Adamw
No, the ground is not needed and can be left unconnected. The CAN bus ground is typically only used in industrial CAN bus applications where devices may be powered from different sources and may not have any common ground. Amrit Sidhu
Thanks Adam, I was trying to figure out why I wasnt receiving anything on CAN monitor on realdash app. I was overthinking the setup using Dash2Pro preset.
