Plum krazy
Hi, I've got a V44 I'm fitting to a Suzuki GSXR & wanted to know what happens if you run coils outside of the 0.4 - 1.0 ohm primary resistance? I've got some Denso CoP that has a 1.6 ohm primary resistance. Space wise I'd like to keep them rather than having to find somewhere to put 4 coils near plugs & leads on the bike, but if it's not possible I'll change the setup. Thanks, Nathan. Simon
The higher resistance will be no problem. Just remember you will need an igniter between the ECU and the coils. I igniter channel per coil.
Plum krazy
Thanks Simon, I've got a 4 channel bosch igniter that I'm running. If it's ok to run higher resistance coils why do ViPec say to use .4 - 1.0 ohm coils in the manual? I'm new to this and just trying to learn. Simon
Its mainly to avoid people using the old school coils geared to be driven off Points.
