DerekAE86
Is it possible to show an individual piston position in a time plot as something like a sinwave so with enough logging resolution you can track where it is in it's 720deg rotation. And then show the Pulse Width, including deadtime of the corresponding injector and the Ignition event, including dwell time of the coil to get a visual representation of whats happening. I'm not sure there would be any tuning benefits from it since it would all be happening so fast to glean any useful live data from it. But when logging I think it could help with understanding if you can "see" where and when things are occuring. Like visualizing things such as injection timing/angle and knock windows. Adamw
Probably not in a traditional log, but we have discussed having some of this type of info placed into a trigger scope capture before, this would be the only way to have enough sample rate for engine position. Even at 1000Hz, a 1ms inj PW is only going to be a single data point, the typical rule of thumb is you want 10X the sample rate of the shortest event. Most likely some of it would have to be assumed/calculated data rather than actual captured events too, as it would require a crap load of processing to get all the individual cyl trims and dwell times etc. DerekAE86
