AlexJ
I see discussion on this forum that mention setting the frequency for the Aux output used for EThrottle / DBW I'm not seeing this option in PC Link (v5.8.3669) Has this setting been removed? DerekAE86
I think that only matters if the ECU is driving the Ethrottle directly from Aux9&10 on supported models. If you're using an external Ethrottle module I believe it takes care of the freq control. AlexJ
AlexJ
I dont think Pclink knows if you are using an external dbw module or not. I am wondering whether the setting has been removed/hidden from pclink for the g4+. Different motors like different frequencies, so it is useful to be able to set it. i can see the setting in the version of pclink for g4x, and looking back at old posts it looks like it was present in the g4+ at some point. DerekAE86
If you go to Aux9&10 you'll see you have the option to pick "EThrottle (-)" and "EThrottle (+)" which give the freq options. This is because on supported ECUs they are a special type of output. Any other Aux output only allows you to select "Ethrottle SIgnal 1" & "Ethrottle SIgnal 2" which are used to drive an external module. AlexJ
Thanks for the steer Derek. After some experiments with base maps I can see that g4+ plugin ecus with internal EThrottle don't have the facility to set the pwm frequency. You can't choose EThrottle+/- , only EThrottle Signal 1/2. You can set the frequency on g4x plugins though.
Adamw
In G4+ plug-in ecu's the E-throtttle frequency was fixed at 500Hz. In G4+ wire-in ecu's that have onboard e-throttle control the frequency is adjustable.
