Michael Rafael
Greetings, I want to control the haldex via can bus. I got 2 options, use user defined and can file, transmit pwm to the stepper motor of the haldex id704 and I retained all factory or use user defined and put all the can streams from scratch. Could you guys help me to at least have the can file of audi tt?
Adamw
The Audi stream is hardcoded with several torque based calculations and multiplexed counters so not something that could be done to an acceptable level with user CAN. Michael Rafael
Is theres a way that I can control the stepper motor of the haldex?
Adamw
There is a closed loop stepper motor control function in the aux outputs menu, only aux 5-8 are capable of stepper control. However they are limited to about 1A so you will need to check what current the motor requires, Im not sure.
Michael Rafael
If I put a 30amp relay in between the aux 5-8 and the haldex, it will help the increase the amp? I verified the specific amp to haldex and it requires like 2.5amp to fully closed the valve There are many haldex controller and they intercept the signal of can bus and use a smartphone to control the haldex but they aren’t cheap. I wonder if I can intercept that signal and expect speed, rpm, throttle values and control how much torque to go to the rear wheels in 50/50, 100/0 or 60/40 etc etc
byront8
Check out openhaldex controller on AudiSport or the TTforum.co.uk - there is a guy on there called Tom who makes the kits you need, I have two on a TT and a S3 and they came in a less than 200nzd each
Michael Rafael
Ok, thanks for the recommendation. I’m just want to control it with the Link, because I don’t want to split the wiring etc etc
