Checksum Calculation for CAN Tx Message

I know this is a bit more of an advanced thing to need to do, but has anyone successfully implemented a message checksum in a custom transmitted CAN message, or has Link been able to implement a firmware release that incorporates checksums for a specific vehicle?  (i.e. if I knew everything that had to be implemented, could it be included as a CAN "Mode"?

Only real way would be by using a mathblock, not sure how well that would work though as checksums typically require values in the form of integers rather than floats and require bitwise calculations.

Is there a particular vehicle you are trying to do CAN for?
