redmist
I've just employed two new Garret GT2871's to replace my GT2560r-4's. We retuned for one more PSI of boost, however I've seen my IAT's increase and my compressor temp also leap. I wondered if 99 degrees C (in a very short run. I suspect much greater when racing) was common for a sensor placed at the turbo compressor outlet on only 16 psi of boost. Cheers, Daniel. Jurgen Biggelaar
Hi Daniel. In short I cannot give you specifics about what will change what, but what I can tell you is that at 16psi it would not be uncommon to see temps as high as this or higher. I cannot offer you anymore than that I am afraid. Jurgen

Crispin
Turbo outlet temps follow the ideal gas law. Example: 16 psi turbo pressure @ 70% compressor efficiency with 30 deg C inlet temperature = 132 deg C outlet temp.
