Idle control

Hi guys

Just added a 2 wire idle control onto a 1uzfe with a Gen1 Ver4 seems to operate okay. Quick question, does the ECU generate a min duty cycle for the hold modes eg Idle Hot and Idle Cold? The lowest is 35% even though I’ve entered a value much lower than that?

What is the firmware code on the micro?  I had a quick look in the D42LEXUS firmware and that has hard coded clamps of 5% and 95%.

Hi, yep that’s the code! 
Also does this mean the idle valve operates continuously regardless of throttle position in this “hold mode”?
