Hi,
I’m Sebastien and i’m French.
It’s my first post here.

I have a problem with my Subaru STI race project.

I can’t Start the car with my new loom (custom) and PDM32

I checked the coils, injectors and triggers wiring and all is good.

Fuel pressure = 3.0 bar (43.5psi) with engine stop.

Injectors are clean

Fuel was new (this morning)

When I crank, the engine don't want to start (like no Ignition)….

Can you give me help please?

Here is my configuration:

Link ecu WRX9X

AIM PDM 32 (CAN AIM-LINK work good)

 Motor:

EJ257 Block – CP forged piston + Pauter

EJ205 Heads with Crower 62583-4 Cam and GSC 32-36mm valve

EJ205 pulley (Cam and crank, V8) with V8 sensor (Crank and Cam) (no VVT)

ID2000 Injectors and Perrin Fuel Rail

GT3583r Perrin Turbo rotated kit

IK01-24 Spark Plug

Gasoline (SP98) now and after I want to put e85 (I wiring a E85 Continental sensor for flexfuel)

 Sensor:

Hitachi ETB0021 ETB (TPS and APS works good, and calibration was good for me)

FK0186 Coil

Zeitronix Lambda analog go to link Ecu

PST-F1 Fuel sensor (temp and press)

PST-F1 Oil sensor (temp and press)

Bosch 4 Bar MAP Sensor (Map + IAT)

Div:

Samsonnas Sequential Gearbox

And I post my setup and trigger scope

Thanks a lot

Can you do a PC log of a startup attempt also.

I dont see anything seriously wrong in your map or scope but there are a couple of potential issues that we can confirm with a log.

  1. Your map shows there was a 90% fuel and ignition cut present when you last saved it.  This was due to RPM and MAP limit set to 0, but it looks like you have since fixed that.
  2. The signal on trigger 2 looks a bit noisier than expected, but this wasn't causing any problems when the scope was captured.  I think this will probably improve when the engine is running so is probably not an issue but a log will confirm that it is happy at cranking speed.
  3. Pre-crank prime is probably too large considering very big injectors, I suggest halving the values in your current table.
  4. The charge temp approximation table is incorrect, I suggest you import the table from our WRX V11 base map as a better starting point.
  5. Set the launch RPM to something higher than 0 in case the switch is active sometime.

Hello Adam,

Thanks for your advice.

I was finally able to start my car.

There were two problems:

- the first, the mapping was a mix of several maps (Start on V8 + V10 and V11) and some tables did not have the right parameters. So I went with a new V11 and modified it to fit my car.

- the second, after all the tests (injectors and coils) there was still no gasoline arriving in the cylinders. Ultimately it was my injectors that were blocked...

Now I will be able to learn Link cartography..

 Thanks
