ok so new at this ive wired the ecu its communicates with laptop. so when i turn my key on the link is connected then do i have to load a program into ecu or does it run on its own i had a base map installed in it as i bought i used so i sent it out to have a ej20 base map installed engine is a subaru ej20tt converted to 2 singal turbos. so my question is after i connect to ecu is there a map to load or once it is turned on its ready to be tunned from the base map thanks

also im confuse as to which engine configuration to use for the subaru motor do i use general,or vr4 or will this stuff already be configured with the base map alreay installed or is there base maps i can download for the subaru motor from let say the lem g3

First question was the ECU of a Subaru before?

If it was then chances are the configuration will be close. You should use General not VR4. Also check the ignition configuration.

If you download the instruction manual it will help you a lot.
